Recording: start the session on the ground — the altimeter zeroes where you press Start. Keep the phone on you; a locked screen is fine. Jumps save themselves about 20 seconds after landing.
Importing: Settings → Data → Import accepts Skydive Logger files (.jump / Bundle.jumps), altimeter CSV exports, and Altitude's own backups.
Backups: Settings → Data → Export full backup produces one file containing everything; re-import it any time.
